The HAD is a new TIGER version developed jointly by France and Spain on the basis of the HAP version.

Main changes of HAD with regard to HAP are the following:

- enhanced engine MTR390-E
- increased range through development of new external tanks
- additional ballistic protection
- air-to-ground missile
- double rockets capacity 68 and 70 mm
- IFF combined interrogator-transponder
- new Roof-Mounted Sight with laser range finder and designator
